Refits & Maintenance
Working with boats that measure up to 40ft, we undertake all manner of exterior and interior maintenance, refurbishment and alterations. In particular, we specialise in ROT removal and proper repair. This work is where “doing the job right” is of primary importance to the life of any wooden (or glassed) boat, so we take particular care to cut all rotten material out, match timbers as much as possible and scarf all joints carefully, to ensure a long lasting result.

Painting
Whether it’s a full respray, or a touch up repair, we go by one moto; “It’s all in the prep”. So we are careful to mask well and seal out dust, before we pull the trigger on a spray gun. Painting plays a huge part in any boat build and we like to take pride in our workmanship.

Our Facilities
Our primary place of work is SHED 10 on Ngapipi Road beside the Hobson Bay Marina. This is a wonderful facility for both our business and your boat, as it has been for many decades prior to our acquisition in 2012. In addition to this shed, we also have a smaller space for detail work (such as hatch covers and varnish work on small items) and we have another under cover hard stand space at the Okahu Bay boatyard (for vessels that can’t fit under the Hobson Bay bridge). So if your boat measures 40ft or less, we’ve got you covered.
